LOGGING ACCIDENT

An area logging contrtactor was seriously injured in a work accident in mid June. Lenny Wenner of Luzerne County, PA had cut a tree and after it was felled he starting topping it. As he turned around and went back toward the stump, a dead tree came down and struck him. The left side of his face is severely cut, bruised and swollen. He is stitched from his cheek to just above his eye brow. His left leg is also pretty swollen and painful but the doctors told him it’s not broken and there appears to be no ligaments or tendons tearing. The swelling is from the trauma of the tree hitting him. He believes the injuries to his face are from him being driven to the ground and his face hitting the handle or bar/chain of the saw. He is expected to be out of work for 6-8 weeks to recover.
