Another beautifully staged plant order ready to be loaded and delivered to a metro-area job site.

We’ve put a lot of work into developing our Fulfillment teams over the last couple of years and it is showing up right here in the staging area with quality control, organization, and accuracy on point. Coupled with years of production and maintenance improvements, and departmental growth and development across all company divisions, we’ve never been in a better position to bring quality plants to market.

If you’re seeing this and have worked with us, THANK YOU! If you’re seeing this and you haven’t yet engaged with our business, we’d love an opportunity to learn what we can do to land our plants on your job sites or garden center shelves this season!

Matt (pictured here among the plants) and I are currently giving walking and/ side-by-side tours @ the nursery. Please DM or call the office to set up a time to visit us this spring!

Spring deliveries are in full swing Thanks to Josh for sharing a photo of their crew unloading an early-season container tree delivery. We value our municipal partners and love seeing our trees play a part in their efforts to improve and diversify their urban canopies!

2026 catalogs have dropped. They will have arrived in your mailbox over the last few days. For additional catalogs, DM me here with mailing address and quantity requested.

We are in full operational swing @ the nursery and can’t wait to connect with you very soon!

Swipe through to see the evolution of the catalog pose over the years. The “fan-out” pose has thus far been adopted annually with slight variation year to year with Matt’s “upside down fan-out” in 2025 and my “in the hole fan-out” that same year. Feel free to drop catalog pose suggestions here for 2027.

See ya soon!

Please take a moment to read the most recent Connie’s Corner at the link in our bio.

This one means a lot to us. We’ve been working very hard to get the right people aligned and into roles they can thrive in to deliver quality plants backed by industry-best service. There is a team of amazing people behind every plant that lands on your job site.

The photo shown here wasn’t randomly chosen because of the sunset in the backdrop of a wagon full of beautiful plants. It was chosen because the wagon here is parked in our delivery staging area, and every single day of the 2025 season I would walk by that staging area and be reminded of the amazing progress the group of people here has contributed towards. We’re a small, labor intensive, capital-demanding, employee-driven, living- product-producing, logistically complex, seasonal business. It’s challenging. It can be difficult to recognize and focus on the positive things in the middle of a chaotic season. Walking by the staging area every single day and seeing the results of getting the right teams aligned to execute on our mission provided an often much needed reminder that we are doing alright. The most recent Connie’s Corner discusses a continued evolution here at Wilson’s Nursery, and we are all eager to see what we can do in 2026.

A few shots from around the nursery over the last week or so. It can be challenging to keep up with the constant change that occurs here throughout the season. I think I’ll spend some time in the slow season sharing more of what’s captured throughout the busy times of the year. The nursery, the plants, the land, the people, the nature & wildlife, and how everything interacts lends itself so naturally to share through this medium. I’ll try to be better about sharing here.

Please take a moment to check out the new Connie’s Corner @ the link in bio. Connie shares some thoughts on fall color, tree selection, and late-season watering.

We’re still working hard preparing for winter AND shipping daily, so please give us a shout for all your late-season plant needs! As always, thanks for your support!

CSR Spotlight. Meet the team behind every order .

Autumn: This is my third season here at Wilson’s Nursery, and I’m happy to be part of such a wonderful team! I’m the Lead Customer Service Representative, so you’ll often find me answering phone calls and emails, helping customers with their orders, or answering any questions that come my way. I love my job and the all our customers are great!

When I’m not at work you will usually catch me working on some craft projects, reading a book, or relaxing by the water with a fishing pole with my soon to be husband!

Alicia: Hi, I’m Alicia!

My role here is CSR and this is my first season being part of the Wilson’s team. If you’ve called, emailed or stopped by, we’ve probably chatted! It’s been fun getting to see how a wholesale nursery runs from day-to-day, learning more about the plants we have, and getting to know all of you!

In my free time, I love going on adventures with my family (we’re always planning the next vacation!), sitting down with a good book, or getting lost in my garden!

A Few Favorite Grasses - Brought to you by Wilson’s Nursery Head Grower, Connie 😃

On this cloudy, foggy, autumnal-feeling day, I tried to capture the beauty of some of my favorite grasses. Karls don’t do anything for me anymore. I love his Korean cousins, but ours aren’t currently in flower. Miscanthus goes without saying and ours are flopping all over each other right now. That’s why it seems like a great time to talk about some of the others that you may not know as well.

**In order of appearance**

1) Blackhawks Andropogon gerardii pp27949- Please note, this plant emerges green and can stay green for a while, especially in light shade. That said, it is a large plant that makes a bold statement. As far as vigor goes, it’s super! Give it at least two feet to spread- three is better. Grows to 60” tall.

2) Shenandoah Panicum virgatum- Not new by any means, but still the most reliable red switch grass on the market. Grows to 48 inches tall.

3) Smoke Signal Schizachyrium scoparium pp27433- This plant offers dramatic, deep purple fall color. Rumor has it it’s tricky to produce during the plug phase, so I hope it continues to be available. In gallons it does very well. Grows to 48” tall.

4) Cheyenne Sky Panicum virgatum pp23209- For many years, I thought of ‘Shenandoah’ as the only, hardy red switch grass. ‘Cheyenne Sky’ lives up to the Proven Winners name. A foot shorter than ‘Shenandoah’ it has carved a niche for itself. Grows to 36” tall.

5) Hameln Pennisetum alopecuroides- Carrying this plant was never our intention, as it’s a bit borderline for hardiness. That said, it was shipped to us by mistake and we still have a few on hand. If you have any interest, they can be a great deal. This ‘Hameln’s’ time to shine and its fluffy plumes demand to be touched. Limited quantity available. Grows to 24” tall.

We grow for you! Significant investment has been made to our container tree program over the last 12 months. Shown here in late 2024, Jesus, Hector, Julio, Jose Luis, Roberto, Lucio, and Silvano work on adding slips to our pot-in-pot container growing range, which are now occupied by a robust variety of several thousand ready to ship container trees. Thanks to those of you who have helped us grow this program. We’d love an opportunity to land some of these beautiful trees on your next project, volunteer planting, tree sale, or independent retail garden center this fall! Get in touch for availability and pricing. ❤️🌱
