Live Wood Timber Frames was established in 2011 (as Livewood LLC) and is owned and operated by Keith Rockett in New Glarus, WI. Keith has been in the timber frame trade since 2006 and has since been a member of the Timberframers Guild. We are a small timber frame company that works with builders, engineers, timber suppliers and directly with clients who want timber elements added to their home or property. This includes; but is not limited to: trusses, brackets, timber beams, pergolas, trellises, porch entries, timber frame barns and homes, scribe work and hand hewn projects. We love what we do and enjoy sharing the natural beauty, efficiency, and sustainability timberframes have to offer.

These oak timbers doing a job over and over in the coolship room!

It’s impossible to capture just how large our coolship really is, but all of our spontaneously fermented b**r starts here. Including our brewery only Vintage 2026 which just took home a bronze medal at the GABF yesterday. Cheers!

It’s fit-up day! 🎉 This means our joinery has been cut and we are ready to ensure everything fits together nicely for an efficient installation on site. We do most of our work in the shop and use other contractors to assist at raising time. We want to make sure we plan for each detail and don’t want to come across any hiccups or waste anyone’s precious time with raising issues. Next steps are prepping the concrete site for install.👌

It’s all about the details!
We haven’t been present on social media lately, but we hope improve on it to keep our clients updated. Lately, we have been busy with a special project for the New Glarus Sports Complex. There are many angles and details we are taking special care to ensure clean joinery and a smooth raising on site. Be patient with us and stay tuned as we get ready to install this project over the next couple weeks!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything! It’s been a busy year working on our personal timberframe home. It’s always been dream of ours and it’s been amazing to see it come true little by little. Throw back to one year ago on raising day!
