Exit 23 Orange Wire

Directions Website

Exit 23 Orange Wire It's more than just a bright orange overhead wire traversing route 93. It became more than an informal mile marker.

It's the unofficial gateway to the fun and grandeur that is NH's lakes and mountains region. It started as a way for three friends to let each other know where we were on our way to the lake. As you pass under the "orange wire" you feel the stress of the week start to melt away as you traverse the gateway to the four-season splendor of the NH lakes and mountains region. This is where your weekend reflects life's rewards and where good friends, family & memories-made take front and center. And let's not forget... as much as it is about getting there, it's also about giving back. Through your purchases, we work to help fund a number of NH state nature & wildlife organizations to ensure they endure for generations to come.

We were up at the Castle in the Clouds Car Show this past weekend, both as a spectator and participant. What an incredible day for this amazing event! Rumor was over 500 cars of all different types on display... (and based on walking the whole show, I'd believe it!). Put it on your calendar for '26, this is a can't-miss event! 😎

Well, it's been a minute since we posted on this page. Guess we've been too busy enjoying what this region is all about.🤷

In the interim, we also noticed that traffic has been up considerably, on this page, over the last 45 days. I guess we need to work on being more present annnnnnnnd... maybe work on some new swag? Hmmm. 🤔

In the meantime, if you want to get yourself a sweet sticker to show your love of the area, go see the fine folks at Lake Life 603 on Main St in Meredith, they have them in stock.
