————— OUR STATEMENT —————
YUCG stands in solidarity with the ongoing calls for justice for George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, and all of the black lives lost to police brutality and racist violence. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and the work being done around the globe to dismantle systematic racism. We stand in solidarity with the protesters who are fighting to eradicate the racism and discrimination that plagues Black communities. We call on members of our organization, the Yale community, and the consulting industry to recognize and call out the implicit racism that is so prominent nationwide.
We recognize that the consulting industry has for too long failed to address the historical and enduring inequalities in the professional services sector. YUCG is fiercely committed to expanding diversity within our organization and combating inequality in our industry. We hope and strive to be a part of the solution, not the problem.
In recognition of our privilege and social responsibility, we are hosting a fundraiser with proceeds split equally between four organizations: Campaign Zero, the National Black Food and Justice Alliance, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and We Love Lake Street. YUCG will match all donations up to $1,000.
These are four of the countless organizations doing invaluable, transformational work supporting the fight against racism and inequality.
