Citizens of the Commonwealth, a new law is on the books. Not that anyone intentionally tries to interfere, but we all know during emergencies, emotions can overtake actions. Please take a moment and read the new law.


NEW KENTUCKY LAW NOW IN EFFECT: HALO ACT

As of July 15, 2026, Kentucky’s HALO Act (Senate Bill 104) is officially in effect across the Commonwealth.

The law creates a 25-foot buffer zone around first responders, including law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and certain federal officers, while they are performing their official duties. Anyone who is warned to stay back and then intentionally enters that buffer zone while harassing, threatening, or interfering with a first responder could face criminal charges.

Ignoring a verbal warning and remaining within the zone to intentionally threaten, harass, or obstruct emergency personnel results in escalating penalties. The first three offenses are misdemeanors, and a fourth or subsequent offense becomes a Class D felony.

Facebook family and friends, are you prepared to unwind and enjoy an evening of elegance and entertainment?

New Hope Fire Department, Loretto Fire Department, and Raywick Fire Department cordially invite you to their first annual Crusade for Children Adult Prom.

This highly anticipated event promises an enchanting night of dancing and merriment, all while supporting a noble cause. Here are the event details:

Theme: Ignite The Night

Date: October 24, 2026

Location: Marion County Event Center, 101 Independence Drive, Lebanon, KY 40033

Time: 7pm-Midnight

Admission: $20 per ticket, with all proceeds benefiting 2027 WHAS Crusade for Children. For ticket purchases, please contact Michael Wright or Brittany Loy, with Venmo and CashApp QR codes available on the event flyer.

This 21-and-up event will enforce strict ID checks at the door. Coolers are permitted; however, attendees who become unruly will be asked to leave, as this is intended to be a drama-free event.

DJ G-money will provide entertainment for the evening.

Other area Fire Departments are getting used by scammers. People have been impersonating Fire Fighters to gain access to homes or con fees..

NEW HOPE FD WILL NOT GO DOOR TO DOOR ASKING FOR ANYTHING!

If people come to the door stating they are part of NHFD, and you did not call for assistance, do not let them in call 911.
