Today we did save this oldie, an HP Officejet 7110! Our customer is using Windows 98 and had this printer in storage for a few years. He was desperate because none of the machines out there will work with his computer. It was making a grinding noise and not printing. We discovered what was causing the jamming and with a new print head, got it back to full operation!

Not every printer can be saved. Last week we had a customer bring in an HP Officejet 7210. Unfortunately it has a design flaw. Sometimes when the retention spring for the cartridge gets loose, it damages the ribbon cable in the cartridge holder. This is not repairable.

Another Printer SAVED!
We got a call from a customer on Thursday after she purchased a set of cartridges for her Epson Workforce 320. She installed the cartridges, and then accidentally knocked the printer OFF THE DESK! She called frantic that the printer was no longer working and faced the prospect of losing the set of cartridges she just purchased and having to buy a new printer.
We asked her to bring it in Saturday.
Within 20 minutes we repaired the printer and she and her husband were ecstatic!

Many printer problems can be avoided by keeping your work area clean.
Staples removed from documents often find there way into stacks of paper. When the stack is placed in the auto document feeder (ADF) it can cause jamming or permanently damage the glass.
Printers with rear paper feeds that are under bulletin boards love to catch pushpins of anything that slips out of your hands and mysteriously disappears.
If you are frustrated by your printer, call us first before you buy a new one. We can usually fix it.
