✈️ Progress continues at Acadiana Regional Airport!
Yesterday, our team was honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Acadiana Regional Airport & Aviation Exteriors Louisiana, LLC Hangar Site Surcharge Project. We're proud to be part of a project that supports the continued expansion of Acadiana Regional Airport and helps bring jobs and opportunities HOME to our community! 🐊

While the ceremony was underway, our crews were already hard at work advancing the project.

Southern Constructors has recently completed the wick drain installation phase and continues making great headway on the surcharge project, helping prepare the site for future hangar development and long-term growth. This phase of work is a critical step in preparing the ground for future development by accelerating settlement and improving the underlying soils before construction begins.

Episode 2 of the Post Road Wastewater Treatment Plant Series 🏗️
Much progress has taken place over the past several weeks, with multiple crucial components of the wastewater treatment plant now actively taking shape across the site.

This project is also a true collaboration across Southern Organizations. Babineaux Plumbing, Inc. and Ideal Electric are both completing critical subcontract work on site — from rough-ins to electrical infrastructure that will support the facility once operational.

The project is also giving the next generation firsthand field experience. Two of our PM interns from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette are spending time on site learning the construction industry hands-on — gaining real-world experience that is often only taught from the office side of the industry. 🤟🏼
