South Louisiana:
Afternoon showers +
Higher temperatures = Mosquito Paradise 🌧️🦟🦟🦟

A container like a bottle cap can breed up to 300 mosquitoes in as little as a week.

With the humidity cranked up and the daily rain rolling in, our backyards are turning into breeding grounds. If you have kids or pets wanting to play outside, you’ve probably already noticed the mosquito activity.

Take 5 - 10 minutes today to check these hidden culprits on your property:

•The obvious ones: kid pools, containers, unused flower pots, bird baths, pet water pans and clogged gutters.

•The hidden ones: outdoor central air conditioning pans, corrugated drain pipes and the lips of tarps.

Tipping over the water helps, but it won’t stop mosquitoes migrating from your neighbor’s yard or hiding in your shade trees, so spread the word. It truly is a community event.

Don’t spend your summer break trapped inside. Try and create a stagnant water free environment around your property so you can enjoy your patio, pool, and yes crawfish boils with less of those pesky mosquitoes.
