A strong line of severe thunderstorms will cross through a large portion of the region this morning through this afternoon. A couple of tornadoes are possible along with a high likelihood of strong to damaging wind gusts. A tornado watch has been issued for portions of eastern New York and western New England through 3 PM this afternoon. Keep an eye to the sky, have multiple ways of receiving warnings, and secure outdoor objects.

After today's thunderstorm, Lebanon Valley Fire received 3 emergency calls for trees/wires down in 10 minutes. There were several downed trees on power and communication lines blocking roads in West Lebanon. Thank you to Tsatsawassa Fire Company for your quick mutual aid assistance allowing us to cover all calls together promptly.

Reminder to report any downed wires to 911 and never go near any downed wires, even if you suspect they aren't live.
