Busy drill night for LVPA as we headed to Red Rock for the monthly Task Force Drill. Lebanon Valley interior firefighters trained on search techniques while exterior firefighters worked on ventilation tactics in a simulated smoke environment. Immediately before and after the drill, our crews also responded to an alarm activation and set up a helicopter landing zone for Chatham Rescue Squad.

Thank you to Niverville Fire Department Inc. Car 2 for your help today on this vehicle fire. Assistant Chief Strobel was driving by and stopped to help stretch the line and start knockdown from a safe distance while our crew donned SCBA. Thanks for looking out!

SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚒⚡ ❤️

Lebanon Valley Protective Association, Inc. has completed the requirements to participate in the New York State Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program and will now be responding to Echo-level EMS calls in coordination with Chatham Rescue Squad Inc and the Columbia County NY EMS Coordinators Office.

Members have received first responder CPR and AED training and 2 vehicles have been outfitted with AEDs in order to deliver trained first responders when minutes count for the most critical of life-threatening emergencies: suspected drownings, choking, respiratory arrest, and cardiac arrest. This new service reflects careful consideration by our company membership, funding from the Town of New Lebanon, NY, and training and mentoring from Chatham Rescue Squad and the County EMS Coordinator.

Please note, there is no change to ambulance services provided to the community as a result of this change and patients will continue to be transported by Chatham Rescue Squad and mutual aid as part of the Columbia County EMS system.

Thank you to our all-volunteer crew who have stepped up to this new challenge to better serve our community.
