Hurricane donations
The generosity of donations we have received in just 24 hours is humbling. We are still Graciously accepting much need donations. You can help the people and animal victims of Hurricane Helene!
The New Lenox American Legion Post 1977 will be accepting donations for Hurricane Victims up until 8 pm this Wednesday 10/9. On Thursday morning our Legion Rider member, Jeff Wahl, and Son of the American Legion, Scott, will drive a large truck down to North Carolina to deliver.

Items may be dropped off in the NORTH HALL of our building at 14414 Ford Drive in New Lenox. Drop off hours are today, Monday and Tuesday 11am to 9pm. Wednesday 11am to 8pm.
We do NOT need bottled water at this time. We have a good amount.
Needed:
Dog and Cat Food
Paper goods like toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, cups, bowls, plastic silverware etc.
Canned good with pop tops preferred
Boxed goods
Clothing in boxes with gender and sizes marked
Baby Food - Non-perishable
Socks and underwear, new in package
Toiletries
Coffee
Tylenol and Ibuprofen - adult, children and infant
Insect Repellent
Bee Sting Medication - Yellow Jackets are everywhere
Benadryl
Body Wash Wipes
Pillows
9x13 tin disposable pans for heating food on grills
Blankets - new
Lighters and strike anywhere matches (ACE has these)
Batteries of all sizes
Solar Lanterns
Flashlights
Anything you can think of as if you walked out of your house and that's all you own.
