Hi Friends,

Before the Thanksgiving holiday, I shared some difficult news with our Makery Coworking members. Our lease is up at the end of 2020 and I made the tough decision not to renew. The uncertainty of COVID makes it challenging to sign a long-term lease at a time when we’re not generating enough revenue to create a sustainable financial model.

The impact of COVID-19 put significant financial pressure on Makery Coworking’s business. Our coworking business is down significantly and our event/space rental income has essentially been non-existent since February. Our current space, as amazing as it is, is just too big to justify the current level of demand, which I don’t see changing anytime soon.

What’s next?

I have been looking at new smaller spaces that can accommodate the current size of the business. One option is a new downtown location. I’m not ready to pull the trigger on anything yet, but will let everyone know as soon as a decision has been made.

As you might imagine, this was not an easy decision for me but I feel it is the right one. I am grateful for everyone who helped build our Makery community during the past four years and I’m proud of everything accomplished. I have many other feelings to share and many people to thank, but I'll save that for another day. This isn’t necessarily the end, just a transition to Makery Coworking 2.0.

The video below shows some examples of my work. I specialize in food and beverage still-life and can also provide silhouetted package shots. My work has been featured digitally and in many print publications including USA Today, Hearst, Golf Kitchen, Edible Nutmeg, Ink, CT Magazine and more. We can also shoot on location, especially if you are a restaurant or require a specific environment and I have a wonderful food stylist available if your project requires it.

Makery Coworking is also available to rent by other photographers and videographers. Our main floor has many options for staging and also has the benefit of natural light, courtesy of our beautiful front windows.
