Thoroughly bizarre method of immigration fraud. Bribing police chiefs to get a U-Visa used to allow non-immigrants who are victims to or witnesses of serious crimes stay in the US, so they can investigate and prosecute the crimes. Except, the crimes reported were fake, and the police chiefs collected a $5,000 bribe for each one, and there were hundreds.

Federal authorities have charged three current or former Louisiana police chiefs with taking bribes in exchange for filing false police reports that would allow noncitizens to seek a visa that lets certain crime victims stay in the U.S.

20-month-old Makai Hagler, kidnapped at approximately 4:30 pm on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 4900 block of Burgundy St, New Orleans (Burgundy/Deslonde). 2 ft. tall 30 lbs. He is believed to be with his non-custodial mother Kayla Hall and an unknown male.
