Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government has removed more than 100 derelict vessels from four major bayous since 2025, improving navigation and restoring waterways. 🌊

Our team recently joined Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and BoatUS for documentary filming highlighting the project. The documentary is expected to premiere in early December. Watch WWL-TV’s coverage here: https://loom.ly/fdQ5psE

’s Chad Albert serves as Project Manager, Kelly Jefferies as Grants Manager, and Ben Alsup as Inspector for the project, which is supported in part by a $1 million BoatUS Foundation grant.

Billy Fontenot, PE, Amanda Flathers, Karen Latuso, and Alaina Grace represented at the White Boot Gala hosted by Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program. Proceeds support BTNEP’s mission to protect and restore the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary, preserving the natural resources that make our region home.

Getting Our Boots Dirty for Wetland Training 🥾

’s Leland Moss, Katie Percy, Jenny Byrd, Denise Poveda, and Frank Bussott participated in a four-day FDEP/USACE Wetland Identification and Delineation course in Baton Rouge. Classroom learning was paired with hands-on field trips, giving the team the chance to put wetland identification and delineation techniques into practice under real field conditions.
