Standing at Victoria Falls does something to your thinking.

You feel small without feeling weak.
You hear power without panic.
You see motion without chaos.

Water keeps moving because it trusts its direction.
It does not debate the edge.
It does not pause for approval.
It flows with clarity shaped long before the drop.

This place presses a question on me.
Do you trust what you already know?
Do you keep moving when the ground shifts?
Do you let vision pull you forward instead of fear holding you back?

Faith here feels practical.

Both come from the same place.
Discernment. Integrity. Responsibility.

A yes carries weight.
A no carries boundaries.

Leadership requires both.
Maturity respects both.

The School of Dreams in the Valley of Hope

I returned to Africa University after 21 years.

What began as a bold dream now stands with strength, growth, and impact. I remember when the vision felt fragile. Today, it stands rooted, disciplined, and alive through its students, faculty, and mission.

This place teaches a clear lesson.
Dreams matter.
Hope matters.

Dreams give direction when the path stays unclear.
Hope sustains work when progress feels slow.

Growth takes time. Vision takes care. Faith takes endurance.

Standing here again reminds me that faithful dreams mature. Hope, when stewarded, lasts.

• When your voice gets tolerated instead of valued, notice.
• When your presence gets used instead of respected, move.

This applies across life.

1. Make space for joy, not survival.

Thank you, Rudy, for speaking with reason and with courage. You reminded me again, “Boy, you don’t have nine lives. You have fourteen.” You name what I try to brush aside.

I rise because grace keeps pulling me forward. Every setback tried to bury me. Every moment of destruction tried to quiet me. Yet God keeps turning what others plan for harm into ground for growth.

I’m still here. I’m still rising.

Your challenge
Ask yourself where you’ve settled for survival instead of choosing growth. Take one step today that reflects the person you’re becoming.

Last night at Lawless Chapel was strong. The room filled fast. The students came ready. Voices met conviction, and worship lifted the house.

Nu Nation set the pace. Sondriahn Smallwood brought depth. Mekhi Hayes carried the moment with focus. Donté Smallwood added weight and energy. Together they gave the campus a worship experience that spoke to where our students stand right now.

Thank you to everyone who showed up with an open spirit. You helped create a space where students felt safe, seen, and strengthened.

Big Worship lived up to its name.

Lawless Chapel is on the move.
