Good afternoon,
It's hard to believe that one year has passed since I and my partners officially launched VIPER EMR as a company. Then, just a few short months later we were officially on the market as an FDA registered medical restraint.
As a paramedic who developed this device out of frustration with what was available for EMS providers to deploy, I can only say I am pleasantly surprised by how well the VIPER has done. The positive feedback is in line with how I had hoped it would be, but it has not been perfect. VIPER does not fit everyone's needs or mental model of the How's or Whys for a restraint device, and I appreciate that. We have done what we could to adjust the device when we needed to, and we have stayed current with praise or concerns raised to modify our teaching materials.
As a small business owner, it has been a roller coaster ride in understanding all the aspects that entails. Supply coordination, social media, web design, manufacturing setbacks, networking growth, developing training curriculum, and travel have taken a toll on me, and it is nothing like what I envisioned one year ago.
I guess what I am trying to say is Thank you. The support from friends, family, coworkers, partners, and our customers have done so much to make VIPER EMR what it is today and what it will be next year. Without you we would not be recognizing where VIPER has come to in the last year.
