Today, we honor fathers, father figures, and the lasting impact they make in our families and communities.

This Father’s Day, members of the New Orleans Fire Department, including Captain Johnathan Diggs, Inspector Thomas Palisi, and Chief Zachary Gremillion, participated in this year’s Richard Newcomb Memorial Father's Day Race, hosted by the New Orleans Track Club at Audubon Park 🌳👟

They were joined by Communications personnel, including Communications Liaison Jasmin Bates (NOFD Liaison to the Orleans Parish Communication District-OPCD), in this meaningful community tradition.

Participants laced up their running shoes and joined this meaningful annual tradition that brings the community together in remembrance, reflection, and celebration of legacy—honoring fathers who are with us and those we continue to carry in our hearts.

From all of us at the NOFD, we wish every father and father figure a safe, and joyful Father’s Day ❤️

Honoring the Fathers Who Answer the Call 🚒

Today, the New Orleans Fire Department proudly celebrates the fathers, father figures, and mentors who serve our community with courage, compassion, and dedication.

Whether responding to emergencies, protecting lives, or supporting their families at home, our NOFD fathers exemplify strength both on and off duty. Their sacrifice, leadership, and unwavering commitment do not go unnoticed.

On this Father’s Day, we extend our appreciation to our NOFD firefighters and to fathers everywhere who continue to lead with heart, integrity, and service.

Thank you for all that you do for your families and for the people of New Orleans.

Happy Father’s Day from the New Orleans Fire Department. ❤️

On behalf of the New Orleans Fire Department, we proudly honor all fathers this Father’s Day 🧡🚒

Today, we recognize and celebrate NOFD firefighters who are fathers, as well as fathers serving in fire departments across the country and fathers throughout our entire community.

Fatherhood is defined by strength, sacrifice, guidance, and love—qualities reflected in the men who serve both in the fire service and at home. Many of our members carry the responsibility of protecting lives while also raising and supporting their families with unwavering dedication.

We also extend our appreciation to all fathers beyond the fire service who continue to shape their families and communities through leadership, presence, and care.

To all fathers—thank you for your commitment, your sacrifice, and your example.

We wish you a safe, joyful, and Happy Father’s Day ❤️

Earlier this week, Engine 12 welcomed a special visit from the New Orleans Assembly #1, Order of the Golden Circle, a community-based philanthropic organization dedicated to service, outreach, and support for women and communities 💛

These wonderful ladies shared an evening of generosity, providing a thoughtfully prepared dinner 🍽️ for the crew and spending time in meaningful conversation and fellowship.

Moments like these reflect the strong bond between our firefighters and the community we serve ❤️🚒

🚒☀️ What a great day at summer camp!

Today, New Orleans Fire Department personnel visited the Phillis Wheatley Community School Summer Camp, operated by FirstLine Schools, for a fun and educational experience with campers.

Campers had the opportunity to meet NOFD captains and firefighters, explore a fire truck up close, learn important fire safety tips, and ask questions about the work they do every day to help keep New Orleans safe. 🚒🔥🧯

Building relationships with our community's youth is an important part of our mission, and we loved seeing so many smiles, questions, and future leaders in the crowd. 😊❤️

A big thank you to Phillis Wheatley Community School and FirstLine Schools for welcoming us today. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again!
