Before its closure in 1998, Hong Kong’s Kai Tak airport was known as one of the most difficult to fly into. The airport was located right in the city and planes required a 45 degree turn to line up with the runway, literally flying in between high rise buildings to land.

TMG would like to spotlight our new intern Ross Berlin!

Ross is currently a Masters of Public Administration student at Tulane University, where his concentration focuses on economic development. He graduated from Tulane in 2020 with a degree in Communications & Social Innovation, and has long worked with a variety of civic groups helping shape New Orleans’ economic ecosystem. Ross is originally from Atlanta, and enjoys a good meal and drink with friends in NOLA, golf, and travel, specifically to national parks, in his free time.

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced the opening of a temporary on-ramp that will improve traffic flow and relieve congestion in the area around the airport. The new on-ramp opens Sunday evening.

Congratulations to TMG Consulting's Associate Planner Tiffany Campo and her fellow researchers for winning the Planning Excellence Award at the 2021 Louisiana Chapter - American Planning Association Conference in Lafayette, Louisiana. The recognized project was a community development and revitalization plan for the town of Campti, Louisiana, a small charming community on the Red River outside of Natchitoches. The team worked in the community, getting to know the needs of Campti residents first hand. The final report and recommendations were approved and enacted by Campti City Council!
