In 1988, Dolly Parton came to New Orleans while filming a special episode of her television show Dolly. During her visit, Chef Paul had the chance to show her a little Louisiana magic, including how to blacken fresh tuna.

This memory feels especially meaningful now.

We’re grateful to have this moment between two larger-than-life personalities captured on film, and to share it as we remember the incomparable Dolly Parton.

Rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the laughter and the joy you shared with the world. ❤️
