As we are in the middle of Women’s History Month, I wanted to share some of the great past guests who have shared their triumphs over adversity in the last few years.

Each person’s journey is unique and different, but has provided a platform for guests to control their narratives, share lessons learned, build on relationships, and share resources to help the next woman grow. I am grateful for the many women who have shared their stories on my platform within the last 5 years.

I know it has been a while since you’ve heard from us, but the original is not going anywhere! New episodes will be released within the next month.

In a world where we are often consumed by receiving recognition and validation through social media, it is important to remember that the impact we make is much more significant than our popularity. This month, let’s focus on our own personal achievements and victories. You don’t need to be a celebrity or hold a title to make a significant impact in your community. Always remember that your story matters, your journey is unique, and hard work and positive effects will always outweigh popularity. Let’s get to know Shonnie.
Shonnie Murrell has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Grambling State University. She attributes her impressive percussion skills to her time spent marching in The Grambling State World Famed Tiger Marching Band. Notably, she is the first female to have played quads and quints and held the esteemed position of Master Drill Sgt. in the band. She was also a prominent cast member on the popular BET show, “Season of the Tiger,” which led to various television appearances including 106 and Park and the BET Awards, and more.

Let’s get to know LaNitra LaChic Dean, an alumna of the Prairie View A&M University Band. Nowadays, she channels her love for music and dance by working as a Group Fitness Instructor at several gyms in Houston and as a Zumba choreographer, cycling instructor, and HIIT fitness class instructor. She expertly incorporates diverse music into her classes to keep things interesting.
