Tip #8 - Bored of plainly painted nails? After letting a glamorous base-coat dry, gently dip a hair slide ('kirby grip' to the commoners among us..) in your brightest polish and add polka dots or firework-esque patterns. steady hand required!

Tip #7 - when it suddenly dawns on you that you are about to age by yet another year; don't forget that Gin is ones friend no matter what age one becomes.

Tip #6 - whilst carving ones pumpkin if you make a fatal error, don't stress, simply re-attatch the accidentally carved item with a well positioned tooth pick. Then sit back and admire your hard work.

Tip #5 - If one doesn't own a lengthy feather duster, banish those pesky cobwebs by using an old damp sock on the end of ones sweeping brush, the moisture will help the webs stick resulting in a spiffing cobweb free corner!

Tip #4 - When your favourite nail varnish turns bad - all gooey and disgusting, simply add a small amount of nail varnish remover to the bottle of varnish and give it a good hard shake. This will re-invigorate your varnish so your nails can become fabulous once again!

Tip #3 - To save yourself from the dire moment when you ruin your newly applied nail varnish; instead of touch testing your nails, simply place a freshly painted nail on the tip of ones tongue, if one can still taste the chemicals the nail is not dry! If not continue to press the creases out of your best nighty.

Tip #2 - When making a wonderful stew dish, if the recipe directs you to leave your meal on the hob to stew; ignore it! I have always found that to simply pop your dish inside a hot oven saves one from hovering over the hob, the dish from burning and allows one to continue with the terribly important jobs like applying ones make up.
