The Solutions Project is disrupting the status quo of philanthropy by practicing and building the foundations for Solidarity Philanthropy to address power and equity in the philanthropy sector. Communities that are most impacted by systems of oppression (colonialism, capitalism, racism, etc.) have been historically underinvested and now, philanthropy needs to overinvest. In a moment where movement values have created a buzz, everyone is talking about equity and justice - but what are we doing about it?

Last Thursday during , we hosted a panel discussion at Blackbird.House where we Reimagined Philanthropy and what can do to resource climate justice solutions in solidarity with grassroots movements. The panel, moderated by Ade Adeniji of Inside Philanthropy featured thought leadership from Linetta J. Gilbert, of Gilbert & Associates, Doria Robinson, Executive Director of our grantee partner Urban Tilth, and Solomé Lemma, Executive Director of Thousand Currents.
