Today, the BACH team had a great time tabling, moderating, and speaking at J Christopher Johnson’s Mobilizing Millennials’ AIDSWatch hosted at the Southern University at New Orleans School of Social Work!

We were proud to join community leaders, advocates, professionals, and partners for meaningful conversations focused on HIV, health equity, advocacy, and strengthening our communities.

Thank you to Mobilizing Millennials and SUNO School of Social Work for creating space for education, dialogue, and action. BACH remains committed to showing up, sharing knowledge, building partnerships, and advancing healthier and more equitable communities. ❤️ A Great Day for Cardiovascular Health in Mississippi!

The BACH Group team was excited to see months of planning, facilitation, and coordination come to fruition today through the Mississippi State Department of Health’s (MSDH) Mississippi Alliance for Cardiovascular Health (MACH) Learning Session I: Beyond the Heart.

As the contractor working alongside staff from MSDH’s Delta Health Alliance, Cardiovascular and Stroke Program, and Diabetes Control and Prevention Program, the BACH Group has been proud to support the coordination and implementation of this important learning initiative.

Today’s session brought together more than 70 participants, including community leaders, physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, community health workers, and other partners committed to improving health across the Mississippi Delta.

Throughout the day, participants explored cardiovascular disease prevention, management, and navigation, while also examining the behavioral, social, and clinical factors that influence cardiovascular outcomes, including the important relationship between mental health, psychosocial well-being, and cardiovascular health.

A sincere thank you to the MSDH staff, presenters, partners, and participants who helped bring today’s learning session to fruition. Your collaboration and commitment made this event possible.

The BACH Group team is proud to contribute to this work, and we look forward to continuing the momentum at our next MACH Learning Session in November!

Throughout her internship with BACH, Summer has demonstrated exceptional commitment, professionalism, and a genuine passion for improving the health and well-being of communities. Her contributions to our work have been meaningful, and it has been a privilege to support her professional growth.

At BACH, we believe strongly in helping to develop and prepare the next generation of public health professionals. We are especially proud of the role we have played in helping Summer strengthen her knowledge, skills, confidence, and capacity as a public health professional.

This learning session, “Beyond the Heart: Addressing Behavioral, Social, and Clinical Drivers of Cardiovascular Health,” will bring together clinical expertise, public health perspectives, and community voices to strengthen cardiovascular and stroke prevention efforts across Mississippi.

Dr. Earl N. Benjamin-Robinson, CPH, FNAP, of The BACH Group, will be one of the featured speakers, alongside Dr. Antoine Keller, MD, FAC, FACS, Professor and Chief of Cardiac Surgery at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
