Today is National Manufacturing Day, and we’re proud to be part of a community that makes things happen!

Since 1973, Viking Packaging has worked alongside manufacturers throughout the Hudson Valley and New York Metro area to create packaging solutions that protect products, keep operations moving and help businesses respond when needs change.

From corrugated boxes and partitions to inserts, protective foam and printed packaging, what we make supports what our customers make.

Here’s to the people, skills and ingenuity that keep American manufacturing moving forward.

Some milestones deserve to be celebrated. Today is one of them.

Please join us in congratulating Anthony "Tony" Matteo on an incredible 45 years with Swatek! 👏

Tony started with us when he was just 17 years old**, making Swatek the only place he's ever worked. Four and a half decades later, his dedication, work ethic and loyalty have helped shape our team and our company.

We couldn't resist asking if he planned to make it to 50 years of service. His answer?

"No. I plan to retire as soon as I reach full retirement age." 😄

When he's not hard at work in our warehouse, you'll likely find Tony casting a line on the water or cheering on the New York Yankees.

Thank you, Tony, for 45 remarkable years of commitment. Congratulations on this well-earned milestone. We are proud to have you as part of the Swatek family.

Happy Father's Day from Viking Packaging!

Family has always been at the heart of what we do. Today, we're celebrating the fathers, grandfathers and father figures who have helped shape our families, our communities and our business.

Pictured here are Rich and his dad, a reminder that the values passed from one generation to the next continue to guide us every day.

Yesterday was Manufacturing Advocacy Day in New York! Viking president Rich Croce was in attendance to help advocate for our industry and make our voice heard. Along with other Council of Industry members, Rich met with key legislators and heard speeches from Assistant Majority Leader and Assembly Member Pamela Hunter (D-128) as well as NYSERA Chief Policy Officer John Williams. We're proud to join others in our industry to advocate for the future of manufacturing jobs and infrastructure.

We recently had the honor of hosting Hudson Valley Pathways Academy, Ellenville PTECH, and Ulster BOCES advanced manufacturing students for our annual Work Place Challenge! Students rose to the challenge of designing either a gravity-fed dispenser box or a gift box for our real-life customers, BjornQorn. These spectacular designs were based entirely on their own research and design, and we're definitely impressed! These minds will power the future of our community.

Last month, we had the pleasure of attending and exhibiting at the Council of Industry’s Business Expo, showcasing the best manufacturers in the Hudson Valley. We had a wonderful time catching up with our peers, and most importantly, celebrating the three Vikings who were recognized for their completion of the Manufacturing Leadership Training Program. Join us in celebrating Michael Benitez, Christina Stoddard, and Charlie Ochoa for their hard work and accomplishments!
