From towering waterfalls and snowcapped mountains to rugged Pacific coastlines, Oregon is one of the most beautiful corners of the country. And next July, we're heading west to experience it!

Join Warther Tours July 14–20, 2027, for a 7-day journey through the Columbia River Gorge, Mount Hood, and Oregon's spectacular coastline.

Our adventure begins as we travel through the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge, where towering cliffs, lush forests, and cascading waterfalls line the Columbia River. We'll visit magnificent Multnomah Falls, ride the Mount Hood Railroad through the scenic countryside, and explore the natural beauty surrounding Mount Hood. We'll also enjoy two nights at beautiful Skamania Lodge, perched above the Columbia River.

From there, we'll make our way to Oregon's rugged Pacific coastline for three nights in ocean-view accommodations, giving us plenty of time to discover the charm and natural beauty of this remarkable region.

Your suitcase may hold everything you need for the trip, but your day bag holds everything you need to enjoy today.

A well-packed day bag can make a full day of sightseeing much more comfortable. Before leaving the hotel, consider bringing:

• A refillable water bottle
• Any medication you may need during the day
• Sunglasses and sunscreen
• A light jacket or rain layer
• Your phone and charging cable
• A portable battery pack
• A small package of tissues
• Your identification and a small amount of spending money

Before heading out, open the **Warther Tours app** on your phone to review the day’s schedule and important tour information. Everything you need for your journey is kept in one convenient place, so you do not have to carry a printed itinerary everywhere you go.

The key is to bring what will genuinely help without turning your day bag into another heavy piece of luggage. A small backpack or secure crossbody bag usually provides plenty of room while keeping your hands free for photographs, railings and getting on or off the motorcoach.

One important reminder for flights: portable chargers and spare lithium batteries belong in your carry-on baggage, not your checked suitcase. Individual airlines may have additional restrictions, so check their rules before departure.

Our Hudson River Valley group is heading home today after five days filled with history, scenery, great food, and memorable experiences.

Along the way, they cruised the Hudson River, explored the Vanderbilt Mansion, visited Springwood and the FDR Presidential Library, walked above the river on the Walkway Over the Hudson, enjoyed the Culinary Institute of America, toured West Point, and finished with a visit and tasting at Brotherhood Winery, America’s oldest w**ery.

Tour Director Elizabeth Stephenson was along for the journey as the group explored one of New York’s most beautiful and historic regions.

From the looks of these photos, there were plenty of great moments along the way. Safe travels home to everyone, and we hope you enjoy a few scenes from their Hudson River Valley adventure!

On a tour that changes hotels several times, try packing by stop rather than placing every shirt in one section and every pair of pants in another.

Use a packing cube for each short stay and include complete outfits—clothing, undergarments and socks—in the same cube. When you reach the hotel, you can remove only what you need instead of unpacking and repacking the entire suitcase.

A few ways to make it work:
- Assign one cube to each one- or two-night stay.
- Choose pieces that can be mixed and worn more than once.
- Keep sleepwear and the next morning’s outfit near the top.
- Carry a separate lightweight bag for laundry.
- Leave medications, documents and valuables in your personal item.

This approach is especially helpful when luggage must be ready outside the hotel room early in the morning. Less searching, less repacking and a much calmer start to the day.

A tour can sound perfect on paper—but will its pace feel right once you arrive?

That is why every Warther Tours itinerary includes an Activity Level from 1 to 5. The rating considers more than mileage. It also reflects the pace of the day, terrain, stairs, hills, time spent standing and the availability of rest opportunities.

For example:
- Level 1 experiences are very relaxed and may include seated performances, museum visits and brief walks on accessible surfaces.
- Level 2 tours involve light activity, generally no more than 1½ miles of walking spread throughout the day.
- Level 3 itineraries may include 1½–3 miles per day, cobblestones, moderate hills, stairs and longer periods of standing.
- Level 4 journeys can involve 3–5 miles per day, a brisker pace, hill towns, gravel paths and limited elevator access.

A higher rating does not mean a better tour. It simply describes a different style of travel. Choosing honestly can mean the difference between enjoying every day and spending the journey trying to keep up.

From Our Experience: When considering a tour, think about what you can comfortably do on several consecutive days—not only what you could manage once. The complete activity description appears on each tour page and is worth reading before you reserve.

In Southern Italy, the character of each region is often best discovered around the table.

Our From Sorrento to Sicily journey begins with a hands-on cooking experience in Sorrento, where travelers prepare and enjoy their own meal after exploring the Amalfi Coast.

As the journey continues south, the flavors change with the landscape. There is tartufo in the seaside village of Pizzo, w**e grown in the volcanic soil of Mount Etna and freshly pressed olive oil at a working mill in the Madonie Mountains. The suitcases are packed in Santorini, and our Greece travelers are beginning their journey home today.

Over the past twelve days, the group explored the history and energy of Athens, enjoyed traditional Greek food, music and dancing, and sailed through the Aegean aboard Celestyal Cruises.

Kuşadası became one of the clear highlights of the cruise, with an excursion that left the group thoroughly impressed. The journey then concluded with three nights at a beachside resort in Santorini, offering time to slow down, explore the island and enjoy the Aegean scenery before returning home.

These photos tell the story better than any itinerary could: fascinating places, unexpected highlights and plenty of shared experiences along the way.

A Low Country boil on St. Helena Island is only the beginning.

Our new Springtime in the South tour explores Charleston, Savannah and Beaufort through the people, history and coastal traditions that give each city its character.
