BuildSTRONG, bringing organization to chaos. Wrapping our arms around another complex reconstruction.

I bid a house. I earned a family.

2001. I'd just come off ten years running TGMD out of Nevada — a couple thousand homes between Construction Service Ltd, ATF Concrete and BuildSTRONG Framing. Moved to Idaho, ditched the overhead, and put my bags back on.

Martin Lopez's house was the first complete home we built here. TGMD plan 1207, split-level entry. I'd built hundreds of that plan in Nevada. This one my partner and I poured, finished, nailed and rolled ourselves.

What I walked off that job with wasn't a check. It was Irma. Martin's sister-in-law. Twenty-four years later she's my wife and the CFO of this company.

Martin passed the first week of August.

BuildSTRONG has grown into the reconstruction company. We put things back after fire, water, and wind. Twenty-five years of proof that almost anything can be rebuilt.

But it's the things that can't be fixed that hold the most value.

Descanse en paz, Martin.

Even though we've had some exciting times working with BuildSTRONG, it's hard to compete with the travel and adventure wildland firefighting has to offer! Stay safe Jose!

It takes a special kind of company to handle whatever type of repairs are thrown at us. After 35 years, we may not have seen it all, but we've seen more than most!

🚨 CALDWELL & NAMPA FLOOD VICTIMS — READ THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING
Water came in from the street? Your homeowners insurance probably WON'T cover it. That's not your fault — it's how the policies are written. (Flood = separate coverage.)
DO NOT panic-borrow to fix it overnight.
That's exactly when people get burned:
❌ Storm-chasers demanding cash up front
❌ "Sign here and I'll handle your insurance" (that hands them your claim)
❌ A repair bill that becomes a debt you carry for years
Slow down. Protect yourself:
✅ Photo/video EVERYTHING before you tear out anything
✅ Call your insurer first — get it in writing
✅ Verify any contractor's license + insurance
✅ Get 3 estimates. Never pay big money up front.
Displaced or need help NOW?
📞 Red Cross 1-800-RED-CROSS
📞 Dial 211 (Idaho)
📝 Report damage to your city — it helps the whole community qualify for aid
You survived the flood. Don't let the cleanup bury you in debt.
