Someone asked me recently why I love this work so much.
And honestly? It is not the before and after photos. It is not the labeled bins or the perfectly zoned pantry. It is the moment right before we start, when a client stands in the middle of their space, looks around, and says "I just don't even know where to begin."
That moment is exactly why I do this.
This week alone we get to walk alongside four completely different families. A dad who wants a game room where he and his son can actually hang out and enjoy each other. A family tackling their whole kitchen. A mom who just needs her pantry to make sense. And someone who has been avoiding their basement for longer than they want to admit. Every single one of them is different, different homes, different lives, different reasons they got here. But they all have one thing in common: they are overwhelmed with where to start. And that feeling? I understand it deeply. It is paralyzing in a way that is really hard to explain to someone who has not felt it.
What I have learned through this work is that people are not messy. They are not lazy. They are busy and they are human and life just moves fast. And sometimes the stuff piles up before you even realize it happened. My job is not to judge any of that. My job is to walk in, stand beside you, and say, okay, let's figure this out together. One decision at a time. No rush, no shame, just progress.
That is the whole reason Simply Sorty exists. To be the calm in the middle of the overwhelm. To be the person who helps you see that it is not as impossible as it feels. And to leave your space, and honestly your whole day, feeling lighter than when we started. 💛
If any of this resonates with you, I would love to hear what space has been living rent free in your head. Drop a 👋 in the comments or send me a DM. No pressure, just a real conversation. 🌿
