As our students head back to school, RPP reminds everyone to slow down, stay alert, and help keep our children safe.

🚌 Watch for school buses — Never pass a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended.

🚸 Slow down in school zones — Be prepared for children crossing the roadway and increased traffic during arrival and dismissal times.

📵 Put the phone down — A few seconds of distraction can have serious consequences.

🚗 Expect the unexpected — Children may step into the roadway or be difficult to see near buses and parked vehicles.

🔥 Talk safety at home — Remind children to follow their school’s emergency procedures, know two ways out when possible, and never hide during a fire.
