Seeking K9 Trainer at LAW ENFORCEMENT K9 Training Facility
Position: Full Time (If required, must be available 7 days per week & holidays)

Responsibilities include:
• Able to multi-task
• Must be Bi-Lingual (English & Spanish)
• Train dogs in drug, bomb, currency, fi****ms and/or cell phone detection
• Good communication skills
• Excellent time management skills and self-starter
• Able to perform a multitude of tasks to include but not limited to, training dogs and problem-solving animals who do not meet training requirements
• Able to work dogs in the different drives; Prey, Hunt, to name a few, and be able to recognize which drive the animal is in and how to control that drive.
• Properly secure, handle, transport and account for canine training aids ATF and guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures
• Must be able to handle and communicate with clients in a professional, timely and effective manner.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally if requested.
• Be physically able to control a large dog and perform all tasks associated with training. Being able to lift 100 pounds, be on your feet for long periods of time, be able to work outside in all-weather to include rain, heat, wind, and sometimes cold. Have enough upper body strength to hold, pull or lift a 100-pound dog. Be able to work and navigate in a variety of scenarios indoor and outdoor.
• Must be a team player and willing to go the extra mile when requested to meet client deadlines.
• Have handled, worked, and trained detection canines for a Law Enforcement or Military organization for a minimum of three years.
• Preferred to possess a trainer’s certification from a state-recognized agency like FDLE or a national certification from the USPCA, NAPWDA, NNDDA, or similar organization.
• Must have at least a GED or graduated High School.
