🚒 TRAINING NIGHT — NEW UNDERWOOD VFD 🚒

There’s no substitute for getting hands-on and putting in the work.
This week, New Underwood VFD firefighters worked on vehicle stabilization and extrication, practicing with hydraulic rescue tools and different techniques for gaining access to patients after a serious crash.

Training like this gives our firefighters the chance to sharpen their skills, work together as a team, and be better prepared when the tones drop and it’s the real thing.
A big thank you to Pennington County Fire for coming out, sharing their knowledge, and helping make this a great night of training. Also big thank you to M&W towing for donating the cars!! We appreciate everyone who gave their time to make it happen!

The Red Flag Warning has been issued due to gusty winds and low relative humidity. Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Roads between NU and mile marker 70 are slushy, then lessons to wet roads on in to rapid. Plows were out also.
