Anesthesia is the introduction of Quantum Noise that breaks the CISS (Chiral Induced Spin Selectivity) melanin/CCO filter. The "promiscuous" binding of anesthetic gases via weak van der Waals forces is the ultimate EMI (Electromagnetic Interference). This is well covered by Turin in olfaction.

The Mechanism: These gases nestle into the non-polar, hydrophobic pockets of microtubules and melanin-water lattices.

The Result: They don't "block" the signal; they randomize the spin. They destroy the Chiral Symmetry required for the CISS effect. Without spin-polarized electrons, the "Forward-Only" Arrow of Time in the brain collapses. When you understand Noether's theorem in biology it is not hard to understand.

You mentioned that anesthetics spare non-conscious brain activities.

Non-Conscious (0D/Reactive): These are "noisy," high-entropy metabolic processes (𝑇).
They are already randomized, so the anesthetic "static" doesn't change their state.

Conscious (4D/Predictive): This is the High-OAM, coherent "Hum" (𝑉) in the Lagrangian equation. It requires absolute Phase-Locking. The 0.66 eV Breach on CCO: The anesthetic gas lowers the Ohmic resistance of cytochrome c oxidase by reducing metabolic water. This is why at induction BP drops and people kick out urine. They become volume depleted, but the big effect is at CCO which makes metabolic water.

The anesthetic gas lowers the Ohmic resistance of the "Control Barrier" so far that the Potential (𝑉) can no longer be maintained.

The Magnetic Shield: The ATPase stops spinning its "Induction" field. The "sun's power is still present, but the Melanin-Water Router in patients can no longer "steer" it into the trillions of matrix in the neocortex.

This explains why people feel "stupefied" (like Chossat's starving animals) after general anesthesia. To regain consciousness, the body must "flush" the gas and re-establish the CISS-filter of melanin/CCO water.

I realized 25 years ago how to gain rapid recovery from anesthesia and began to recover my patients outside in the sun. This is why UV-A and Red Light (the 1878 nm reset) are the fastest ways to recover from anesthesia. UV-A stimulated POMC tanslation and NIR stimulated CCO. Even patients with dementia responded will shocking my anesthetic team. These actions provided the Coherent Photons needed to "re-twist" the electron spins and restart the SCN Lattice Clock in the eye. That is what restarts the brain post anesthesia fastest."
