Hello VO Artists!

I've recently encountered a distressing number of VO performers who know how to use the equipment in their home studios, and are great at auditioning, but give them copy longer than a paragraph and they fall apart. They have VO training, but lack solid acting training.

So, I'm doing something about that, since I worked in theater for 20 years before voice over - but at a super low price since the world is on fire and everyone is poor.

I am so proud Pepsqually VO/Pepsqually Portugal was an integral part of Roye Okupe’s “Iyanu”! I was the Casting Director and Voice Over Performance Director for the series, and my Head Engineer, Roger Middenway, provided all sound design. We always thought the world Roye created was pretty great, so it’s awesome to see that other people agree!

Yes, “KPop Demon Hunters” makes the list. But that was just one of the standouts in a great year.

Lots of new projects at Pepsqually VO/Pepsqually Portugal this fall.
- "Iyanu: The Age of Wonders" has already premiered. You can check out the prequel film on Cartoon Network/HBO Max.
- "Snoopy and the Great Mystery Club" releases Oct. 10 on Switch, Playstation, Xbox, and Steam.
- "Pol the Pirate Mouse" is making the festival circuit in Europe.

2024 marks 10 years since I launched Pepsqually VO and Sound Design, Inc.! Since International Animation Day was this week, I thought I'd take a trip down memory lane with some of the shows for which we've provided casting, voice over direction, sound design, and/or scoring. We've grown from 1 rented studio space, 1 engineer, 1 show, and 7 actors to 3 engineers, 8 writers, two studios (one in NYC and one in Lisbon), and regularly employing over 100 actors across multiple projects. It's been a busy 10 years!!

We cannot talk about all of this amazing voice talent on without mentioning the award-winning Casting director and Voice Director Paula Gammon Wilson. Without her, we literally would not have a show! Get to know more about Paula below:

Paula Gammon Wilson is the Owner/Director of Pepsqually VO and Sound Design (New York City) and Pepsqually Portugal, LDA (Lisbon, Portugal) - award-winning boutique companion audio houses with a focus on children's content. She began her professional career as a Union Production Stage Manager and professional dancer in the late 90s, alternating between working behind the scenes and as an actor/dancer, director, and choreographer. After many years of working in Asia, South America, and Europe, she returned to the US, and opened Pepsqually VO and Sound Design in New York City.

She has since grown the company from one animated series, one engineer, and seven cast members to employing three engineers, seven writers, and 100+ actors across several projects. She launched Pepsqually Portugal, the European arm of Pepsqually VO, in 2020 with the express purpose of incubating/developing content by and for marginalized populations.
