Next time you’re afraid of the unknown…
Take a moment to explore it. Spend time learning just enough to get comfortable with the topic/skill. Then surround yourself with an expert(s) in that field. Not only will your new conversational knowledge grow quickly into deep insights and learnings, you may even enjoy it while attracting the next big opportunity! I deployed this advice a year ago and now happy to announce I just joined the board of a high growth start up striving to disrupt the B2B Metaverse space: Verchool Holdings! Stay tuned…

The holidays 🎊 are upon us! Time for the “mutual win” call. Celebrate your best clients while giving them a chance to celebrate YOU! How⁉️

If ever a client/referral source calls to thank you especially “high ticket”, respond: “Mr client I so appreciate the positive feedback. Our business thrives on warm referrals from valued clients just like you (*qualify what a “valued client” is for them). Best way to thank me? Who in your close network can we help in the coming year, just like we did with your company? Would love us to schedule a brief introductory call with them” OR my go-to “Invite them them out for a drink during the holiday season when we catch up”.

Remember: those who like you want to refer to you but they’re busy, don’t know exactly how and whom to refer. It’s YOUR job to educate + highlight steps to a qualified referral. Seems silly and and obvious I know but simplest to execute task with the highest ROI! Make those calls now = fill up the pipeline for 2023! What’s your best holiday business/sales tips⁉️👇🏽👇🏽

Mastering the art of the follow up!

Recently I spoke about my golden client rule - treating every client as if they are your first AND last. Thanks to we take that one step further. This is where our biggest struggle starts, maintaining strong relationships, long term.

TIP: Create a customized but automated “nurture” program (part of a portfolio management system) to assure those clients continue to feel as valued and appreciated as they did day one. This simultaneously keeps you top of mind which is the simplest path to winning new referrals while keeping attrition at bay!

What’s your unique tip on mastering the art of the follow up? 👇🏽

Should we charge less? Charge MORE! Topic comes up a lot! If you know you will absolutely bridge the gap between the highest price a client will pay and the value you bring, why would you discount yourself? This highlighted line below in the book is powerful! I will go one step further: If you will truly act as if the client is paying double, use that as confidence to maintain your worthy rate up front. It’s ok to say no for those that do not see your value, which assures high touch to your current/future high paying clients! Never easy but greatness never is. Another worthy read I wanted to share! Special credit to my Chef for blessing me with the book.

How to maximize 2022? Remain adaptive! AMAR: Anticipate, Monitor, & Adapt to change + be ready to REPEAT! This process works in our personal worst times as much as it does in daily business. We can’t control certain variables but we can always control our responses to them! Simple but universal read and thought I’d share.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get asked?
I went right to the 👑 🥇negotiator himself Chris Voss!
PROSPECT: “Let’s just stay in touch” (but never does business with you - that deadly middle ground)!
ME: “What to do after multiple tries”
VOSS: “Start with a label and focus your response on their barrier of why they are not choosing you”. Stay in touch = they choose to not do business with you!
Detailed example/script in the comments below!👇🏽 I loved Chris’s response. How about YOU?👇🏽
