He had just left his day-job at the Joseph Patelson Music House a few days prior to pursue his ambitions as a pioneering videographer.

Do you remember your first home phone number? One of those things that you just don't forget. Which got me thinking... What was Nelson's phone number?

Thinking back through the videos, I was trying to remember a situation where this might have come up, and it hit me!
When Nelson is stuck at LaGuardia Airport, he puts his last quarter in the payphone to call Sylvia - but instead calls his own phone!
And wouldn't you know it, he filmed himself typing in the numbers! After watching it a few times, I had a number and decided to run it through Google to see what might come up. . .

The first thing to come up was the first issue of which included an ad for Larry Tee's "Pride Records" - with the number that Nelson had dialed - mystery solved.

After an immense amount of digging, this is the oldest known photograph of taken circa 1870!
The IRT Elevated Railway was constructed between 1862 & 1863.

The photo features the photographers name (K. H. ?) with the caption "From Gansevoort St. looking North" - and at least 13 individuals, three sitting on the steps of 5 9th - a man and possibly a woman holding a toddler.
It is now

7 9th Avenue was a corner Liquor store, or "party store" as we call them in the midwest. You can see the windows and facade have been changed in the last 150 years.
Now it is

Truly a world of change.
