On Wednesday, May 18th, I was fortunate to attend the 10th annual Youth of the Year event.

The purpose of this event is to celebrate our outstanding members and the vital role that Madison’s guidance and resources play in the lives of some of New York City’s most at-promise youth.

During this masterclass session promised to meet our members once she got a chance to travel back to NYC!

provides doors to get more women working behind-the-scenes in film, TV, and theater.

Theater plays a major role in telling the stories of the past and creating the ideas for our future. Our co-founder worked for over 10 years in theater and saw firsthand how important it is to create a path for women in this industry.

2 years ago, shared her time and talents with out members virtually via zoom. With everyone stuck indoors took it upon herself to provide numerous virtual sessions, sharing the story of with the . 🦁💃🏻🕺🏾

Yesterday, invited 50 members to see the show LIVE on and to have a conversation with the actors afterwards. 🎭

In 2020 Meredith, the new owner, acquired the store in district with the goal of sharing art and locally made gifts with the community. Within a few months of acquisition was hit with the pressures of COVID.

Despite this, continued on its mission unifying a community through uplifting local artisans and providing a space to support local 🙌🏻🙌🏿
