This week mark’s the launch of Flamingo Estate, Los Angeles’s fifth book: 𝙋𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙨: 𝘼𝙣 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙘 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣. The book is for anyone who wants to spend less time on their phones, and more time in the natural world. Part field guide, art book, and love letter to Mother Nature, Pleasure Principles guides us through the seasons exploring the people, plants, and stories that shape our gardens.

Richard Christiansen sat down with Martha Stewart at the The 92nd Street Y, New York to discuss their boundless love for gardening and the pleasure it gives them to have the power to grow things on their own. Christiansen also spoke with kcifeanyi during Fast Company’s Innovation Festival bringing forth the idea that innovation might just be bringing back what is old and sometimes neglected.

phillip lim introduces PLAYLOVEWIN, his newest project with a singular focus on shirting, with offerings for both men and women.

“It struck me that the ritual of putting on a shirt each morning felt like a reset, a fresh start, and a powerful reminder that today can be something new,” says Lim.

The brand’s name is drawn from three universal words that guide Lim’s approach to life and work: Play, Love, and Win.

“‘Play,’ because that’s what I want to do. I want to relearn the process so that I can appreciate the process, and love it again,” Lim recently explained to Vogue.

“‘Love,’ because when you do things with love, no matter how difficult, something good happens out of that.

‘Win,’ because as a son of immigrants, do I deserve to win? Do we deserve to win?...I want to win, and I want you to win, and I want us to win together.”

The brand encompasses Men’s and Women’s categories, with designs that go beyond a typical button-down. The inaugural edit includes perennial shirting, shirt dresses, shirt-sweater hybrids and shackets, in a range of foundational silhouettes from cropped, tailored, relaxed and oversized fits. The fabrics are highly considered and range from Japanese breeze technical poplin, to Portuguese cotton cashmere, silk twill, high twist cotton gabardine and wool and cashmere blends. The shirts are all made in a renowned multi-generational, family-owned factory in Guangzhou, China.

The inaugural campaign, ‘The Family’, is a series of portraits of friends of the house in PLW shirts, each embodying the characteristics of Play, Love, and Win.

On Friday, June 5th, guests gathered at to celebrate the launch of 𝙊𝙢𝙣𝙞𝙖 𝙊𝙢𝙣𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙨 𝙐𝙗𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙚 — a new scent by .paris named after the London retailer’s official latin motto, which translates to “All things, for all people, everywhere.”

The scent is a silky modern oud warmed by saffron, iris, and creamy musk by perfumer .perfumer, bottled in botanical artwork by British designer .
