MASTER YOUR NEXT DISCOVERY CALL [save for later!] 💻✨These are the exact steps I follow that have landed me 15+ discovery calls and a fully booked out roster as a Virtual Assistant in the last 4 months:

👉🏻 CREATE A CALENDLY LINK. This is the best tool for allowing people to schedule a Zoom call with you! You can choose which days and times you want to take calls and it will even cross-reference your existing calendar so you don’t get double booked.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 DO YOUR RESEARCH. I like to spend 15 minutes briefly reviewing the client’s socials and website and take any notes that I want to reference or clarify during our call.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 KNOW WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE. You have to be confident in what you provide to your clients. From your energy, to the way you speak about your processes, to the way you ask them questions… do it with confidence and excitement.

👉🏻TELL THEM WHAT THEY NEED. They booked this call with you not only to see if you’d be a good fit, but to see if you can provide and implement solutions for their biz. Don’t be afraid to tell them what they need!

👉🏻TRANSITION THAT INTO HOW YOU CAN PROVIDE IT. And then you tell them how you can help them. How you typically go about handling things like this. They want to know that they can trust you to get the job done.

HAPPY 6 MONTHS TO ME AND 🥂✨When Naomi and I became closer Instagram friends this past year, I knew she was a woman that I wanted to learn from and know.

WEEKEND VIBES ☕️✨ I’m going to let you in on a weekend productivity hack that has changed the game for me… prepping and studying your calendar for the week ahead.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even more fun if it’s in your brand colors! (Do we need a tutorial on this?)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As we all know, our time is valuable, and if you’re anything like me, it has taken *years* of practice to set boundaries around your schedule and HONOR THEM.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what I like to do is:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨Time block my client work for the coming week based on deadlines I have and review my to-do list for each client so I know what my priorities are
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Time block my workouts because we always feel better after a good sweat session! I like to go in the afternoon when my gym is less crowded, plus it wakes me up and gives me energy for the rest of the afternoon
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Then, based on when I start my work each day, I’ll time block my morning coffee and creative projects (I have a whole morning routine that I’ll share in another post) - I’ve noticed I’m most creative and alert in the morning, so that’s when I work on my personal brand stuff!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Lastly, I typically have 1-2 social outings a week that I’ll put into my calendar, as well. It’s important to schedule fun time with friends!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏻 PRO TIP: I sometimes have to block off time that says “DO NOT SCHEDULE” because I know I’ll get overwhelmed if I have too much on my calendar. I tend to say yes to things quickly, but having that blocked off helps me say “no I’m not available then”.

✨ You click the link in my bio to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call with me, and in the online form I will ask two questions (swipe to see!)

✨ Then we hop on our discovery call and immediately hit it off, and you’re like “omg she’s amazing, I need her help, she knows exactly what I need”

✨ After our call concludes, I draft and send a proposal covering the scope of work, proposed hours per week, and my hourly rate

So you’re probably NOT looking to hire a full time employee for your growing biz, but you’re probably MOST DEFINITELY looking to hire a part time employee that can help with your growing to do lists and never-ending admin needs.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re on the fence or nervous to take that next step in your biz, here are some perks you should keep in mind👇🏻
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨REDUCED LABOR COSTS. Virtual assistants works as independent contractors, so as a business owner, you don’t have to pay for sick days, holiday pay, worker’s comp, taxes, medical benefits or any other costs that come with hiring a full time employee.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨MORE PRODUCTIVITY. We’ve all been in those office settings where a coworker is staring off into space or texting on their phone all day, not really focused on the task at hand. It’s been almost 2 months since I was unexpectedly laid off from my full time job in NYC and decided to take my side hustle full time.

It’s been a HUGE adjustment, but I can confidently say that taking the leap and starting my own business has been the most exciting life adventure to date.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A few things I’ve learned about myself during this season of change:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪🏻 In times of crisis or uncertainty, I’m always ready to hustle and make sh*t happen
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪🏻 I trust in the divine timing of my life and know that everything is happening exactly as it should be (even if it doesn’t make sense at the time)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪🏻 I am damn good at networking and putting myself out there
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So whatever life change you may be going through right now, I encourage you to take stock in all you’ve accomplished thus far and give yourself some credit 👏🏻
