International Women’s Day reminded us of something powerful: when women gather, ideas move faster, connections deepen, and businesses grow.

This past weekend we welcomed an incredible room of founders, operators, executives, and creatives for In Her Bag in New York City at WeWork— a space built for honest conversations about building businesses, navigating leadership, and creating long-term impact.

To everyone who joined us: thank you!

To our speakers, thank you for sharing your experiences so openly and generously. The insights you offered, on leadership, finance, visibility, growth, and the realities of building something meaningful, are exactly what make this room so special.

To our attendees, thank you for bringing your curiosity, your ambition, and your willingness to connect with one another. The energy in the room is always shaped by the women who show up.

To our partners, thank you for believing in the mission and supporting a platform that is designed to move women entrepreneurs forward in tangible ways.

A special thank you to our team behind the scenes who made the day possible. These events only come together because of the people willing to show up early, stay late, and care deeply about every detail.

And a heartfelt thank you to the team at for opening your doors to us. Stepping in to support this event the way you did meant so much, and we’re incredibly grateful to have welcomed the In Her Bag community into your space.

Programs like this exist because of partners who understand that supporting women in business is not just symbolic, it’s impactful.

At its core, In Her Bag is about community, empowerment, and economic growth, bringing women together to share knowledge, expand networks, and build businesses that create real influence in the world.

As we continue through Women’s History Month, we’re reminded that the stories being written today, by founders, leaders, and creators, are shaping the history we’ll celebrate tomorrow.

Thank you to everyone who was part of this year’s experience!

Sadé Muhammad was TIME’s first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, and she used that platform to prove that culture is infrastructure.

Now, she’s CEO and Co-Founder of ZEVEN, a platform that designs high-trust ecosystems where influence, capital, and narrative align to drive long-term strategic growth.

Before founding ZEVEN, Sadé spent 15+ years in legacy media. At TIME, she developed and scaled leadership platforms including TIME Impact House and The Closers — convening executives, policymakers, creatives, and philanthropists around systems-level collaboration.

Her work centers on a core belief: the organizations positioned to lead the next era are those that invest meaningfully in the ecosystems they help shape.

She’s spoken at Google, Wharton, Harvard, Adweek, and Cannes Lions on the intersection of culture, influence, and institutional growth.

Sadé’s speaking at In Her Bag on March 8 about The Long Game: Leadership, Strategy & Sustainable Growth.

The takeaway:
🎯 How to build ecosystems where influence, capital, and narrative align
📈 The strategy behind scaling leadership platforms that drive systems-level change
🤝 What it means to treat culture as infrastructure and invest in the ecosystems you help shape

She’s joining Shana Stephenson (NY Liberty CBO) and other leaders who’ve built for longevity, not just the next quarter.

See you March 8!

Sadé Muhammad made history as TIME’s first Chief Marketing Officer, proving that purpose-driven marketing drives business growth, not just goodwill.

CEO of Own Ground Media, a purpose-driven media company amplifying authentic narratives and building a more inclusive cultural landscape through storytelling.

Before launching her own company, she was Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Impact Officer at TIME, where she shaped the brand’s modern identity and expanded its cultural relevance.

Prior to TIME, she spent 7+ years at Forbes, where she founded the Representation & Inclusion Practice — an award-winning, revenue-generating B2B advertising initiative that positioned DEI not just as a moral imperative, but as a strategic lever for business growth.

Under her leadership, she launched Forbes EQ, the Forbes and Harlem Capital MORE EQUITY Pitch Competition, and For(bes) The Culture — creating pathways for Black, Indigenous, and people of color entrepreneurs, with a specific focus on women.

Her work has been recognized by the International News Media Association (30 Under 30), Chief Marketer (Marketer of the Year), and CMO’s Alliance (CMO to Watch).

Sadé’s speaking at In Her Bag on March 8 what it takes to last in the long game of leadership

The takeaway:

🎯 How to embed inclusion into the most influential cultural and commercial conversations
📈 The strategy behind turning DEI into a revenue-generating business lever
🤝 What it takes to build media companies that amplify authentic narratives, not just chase reach

She’s joining leaders like Shana Stephenson (NY Liberty, Chief Brand Officer) and Les Alfred (Founder + Host @ She’s So Lucky Podcast) for a day of real conversations about leadership, visibility, and sustainable growth.

See you March 8!

Laurice R. has led relaunches and retail expansions for some of beauty’s biggest names — and made sure they stuck.

Director of PR & Brand Communication at Erborian (L’Occitane Group). She’s led relaunches, retail expansions, and breakout social campaigns for some of the industry’s most in-demand beauty brands — ensuring they don’t just trend, but become part of consumers’ routines and lifestyles.

She oversees U.S. influencer strategy, earned media, and brand communications. She designs integrated campaigns where authentic storytelling, creator ecosystems, and paid amplification work together to drive awareness, credibility, and commercial impact.

Her philosophy? Brands shouldn’t just aim to be seen — they should be strategically positioned for long-term relevance.

Laurice is speaking at In Her Bag on March 8 about Getting in the Room: PR, Media & Strategic Partnerships.

The takeaway:
💄 How to turn visibility into brand equity that lasts beyond a single campaign
🎯 The strategy behind influencer and creator ecosystems that drive real business outcomes
📈 What it takes to position a brand for long-term relevance, not just short-term buzz

She’s joining leaders like Jaclyn Johnson (Create & Cultivate/Cherub) and Shana Stephenson (NY Liberty CBO) for a day of real conversations about visibility, growth, and building what lasts.

See you on March 8!

What does it look like to explore the psychology of entrepreneurship… without a psychology degree? 🧠

At In Her Bag: The Summit, we’re excited to welcome Kiana Leroux () to our session on The Psychology of Entrepreneurship.

This conversation brings together two PhD neuropsychologists who will ground us in the brain science behind performance, risk, resilience, and leadership.

And alongside them, Kiana offers what we really need to hear: The real-life application.

Curiosity, discipline, and the willingness to study how the mind shapes success will help you better understand the puts and peaks of personal and professional development.

Kiana will share how she’s navigated psychology as a founder from an entry-level, consumer-access perspective—how she researches, filters information, experiments, and integrates mindset work into her business without gatekept credentials.

Because here’s the truth:
You don’t need a PhD to start understanding how your brain impacts your decisions, your confidence, your money, and your growth.

You need awareness.
You need tools.
You need access.

This session is about planting the seed—understanding how psychology shapes your entrepreneurial journey and how to begin developing that awareness with resources that are actually accessible.
