My brother ran a sub 3 hour marathon this year in Philly. He didn't know anyone running, didn't have any spectators, didn't post a single thing about his training or his accomplishment on social.⁠

He just told himself he was going to run a sub 3 hour marathon, went down there on a solo mission, and proved himself RIGHT.⁠
⁠
THAT'S the energy I'm taking with me into the new year. No excuses. No fear. Nothing getting in the way. ⁠

I'm a summer girl, but there's something so magical about the stillness of winter that, forces you to go inward and really do the work. And as much as I love the summer sunshine and everything that comes with it, I need winter to really bring all the ideas inside me to life.⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠

This is the Wanaka Tree in New Zealand. It grew on a fence post and now still grows to this day 80 years later in a lake. ⁠

We talk a lot about resilience as entrepreneurs and it's so important to remember that in order to keep moving forward you need to stay disciplined about the things YOU need an a person to help you grow. ⁠

As we head into the busiest time of year, try to remember to keep doing the things that make you whole (and sane) on a daily basis, because when you let the little things go, the big things will follow.
