We often say jewelry expresses who we are. But what if it also expresses what shaped us?

Long before fashion, there was sport.

Before Bijules, founder Jules Kim was a competitive volleyball athlete, where discipline, teamwork, resilience, and belonging became values that continue to shape her approach to design.

LEAVING LAS VEGAS

Back from Las Vegas and feeling deeply grateful.

This year’s COUTURE was a special one. Alongside showing Bijules and launching Shoot It Hot, our newest Sport Pearls collection, I also introduced our fine jewelry for personal tech and entered the Innovation category—a full-circle moment for a career built on asking what jewelry can become next.

As Talent Liaison for the Belonging @ COUTURE mentorship program, I had the privilege of supporting emerging designers while also witnessing something incredibly rewarding: seeing former mentees return to the show floor as peers, business owners, and leaders in their own right. Those moments mean more than I can say.

It was equally meaningful to reconnect with fellow finalists from the David Yurman GEM Award, celebrate one another’s growth, and share space with a community that continues to push our industry forward.

Thank you to every buyer, editor, retailer, mentor, mentee, designer, and friend who stopped by, shared a conversation, offered support, or simply showed up. The jewelry is what brings us together, but the people are what make this industry extraordinary.

Now back to it—with a full heart and a long list of ideas.

Day Two at Couture, and we’re energized by the response to Shoot It Hot.

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to see, try on, and talk Sport Pearls with us. Watching people discover their favorite silhouette, pearl, and sport has been one of the highlights of the show.

Inspired by the spirit of ’90s sports culture and reimagined through the lens of fine jewelry, Shoot It Hot transforms freshwater pearls into basketballs, volleyballs, golf balls, soccer balls, and tennis-inspired forms—each carved and finished by hand.

The excitement, conversations, and enthusiasm have been incredible. We’re grateful to share this collection with so many retailers, editors, stylists, and fellow designers this week.

A study in movement, iconography, and the women who shifted the visual language of sport. The Bijules Sport Pearls muse campaign pairs hand-carved freshwater volleyball, tennis, golf, soccer and basketball pearl charms with the athletes and cultural figures who transformed competition into image culture. From 90s beach volleyball and tunnel style to today’s courtside fashion narratives, Shoot It Hot 2026 reframes the codes of sport through fine jewelry.

The collection expands this season with the introduction of the Basketball Sport Pearl on the Hang Hoops, inspired by a new generation of women redefining visibility both on and off the court. Among them is , whose custom Bijules jewelry was created for this year’s Met Gala in collaboration with stylist and only weeks before the launch of this campaign.

To the women athletes, stylists, agents, photographers, and strategic collaborators who continue to shape these moments into culture — thank you for making space for a different kind of sports jewelry language to exist.
