My sweet friends,
After a little more than four years at FOX 2, the time has come for me to say goodbye.
This is a hard one to write because there are so many memories, stories and people I’ll carry with me into this next chapter.
Thank you for watching, for trusting me with your stories, for reaching out, and for allowing me to be part of some of the most important moments in your lives. I'll never forget it.
The people I’ve met, the challenges you’ve overcome, the milestones you’ve celebrated and the stories you’ve shared with me, those stories became mine, too.
Now, it’s time to close this chapter and open another in Tampa, Florida as a morning anchor at WFLA News Channel 8. I’m SO excited for what’s ahead, but leaving Michigan and the people who welcomed me into their lives is not easy.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your mornings and your lives for the past four-plus years. It has truly been an honor.
My last day on-air in Detroit will be October the 2nd.
PLEASE don’t be a stranger. Stay in touch, especially you snowbirds!
