Last week, I had the honor of attending the Wealth Catalyst NYC Summit at the Mastercard Tech Hub in New York City hosted by the incredible .co Syama Bunten.

And honestly…
the room was powerful.
Not because of ego.
Not because of titles.
But because it was filled with women openly discussing the conversations that too often get avoided:
money
wealth
ownership
investing
board seats
private equity
giving
legacy
and building real financial power.

We talked about:
The story behind every financial decision we’ve ever made.
Building businesses after 40.
Buying businesses instead of only starting them.
Investing through REITs, syndications, private credit, private equity, gold, crypto, women’s sports, health, and deep tech.
Using IRAs and DAFs to invest differently.
And how to stop simply writing checks… and start building a giving portfolio.

The level of brilliance in the room was unreal.
Women like:

Shaz Kahng
Kelly Ann Winget
Heather Kernahan
Denny Post
Kelly O’Brien
M. Claire Chung

and so many others who are building, investing, leading, scaling, and changing industries.

One thing became very clear to me:

Women need to be in more rooms like this.

Rooms where wealth is discussed openly.
Rooms where expansion is normal.
Rooms where women are not shrinking themselves.
Rooms where we stop only talking about survival…
and start talking about ownership, investment, scale, equity, and legacy.

I left inspired.
I left stretched.
And honestly…
I left thinking bigger.

The future belongs to people willing to learn, evolve, build, invest, and move before they feel fully ready.

And there is something incredibly powerful happening right now when women come together and decide to expand.

Thank you, Syama Bunten, for creating a room that mattered.

This one took me time to learn.

Wanting to be liked feels natural.
Especially when you care about your team.

But leadership and comfort don’t always go together.

The moments that matter most are usually the ones you want to avoid.

The conversation you don’t want to have.
The decision you keep pushing off.

Your team doesn’t need perfection.

They need clarity.

And they need to trust that you’ll do what’s necessary… not what’s easy.

What’s one conversation you’ve been putting off?

Went out for a long run this morning trying to clear my head before a full day of getting my team aligned and focused… and on my way back I ran into Adriana, employee #1 at NYMC ❤️

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love this girl and how much she changed my life and business when she took a chance on me in the beginning.

The second we saw each other we completely lost it 😂 Running, screaming, hugging, jumping around in circles like little kids in the middle of the trail. I’m sure everyone driving by thought we were absolutely insane.

Honestly, worth it.

We started walking and talking and catching up and somewhere during all of it I lost my AirPods on the trail and didn’t even realize until later. Because when you genuinely love somebody, nothing else really matters in that moment.

There is nothing like friendship.
Nothing like loyalty.
Nothing like the people who believe in you before everyone else does.

Today reminded me how lucky I am to have incredible people in my life and Adriana has always been one of the biggest ones.

I hope everybody takes a second today to think about that one person who believed in them when they needed it most ❤️

The sun is shining.
The music is playing.
And these are the reason we do what we do.

There’s something really special about watching students laugh, grow, build confidence, and find joy through music.

In a world that moves so fast, I hope we never underestimate the power of creativity, friendship, sunshine, and a little music.

This week is Bring a Friend Week at , and honestly… there’s no better time to share something that brings joy.

So today, bring a song with you wherever you go.

Happy Monday.

If you’re going to do this life…

Do it fully.

Take the risk.
Build the thing.
Have the conversation.
Go after what you actually want.

Because the alternative is waking up one day
realizing you played it safe
and still ended up with regrets.

I’m not interested in that version of life.

And neither should you be.

One of my favorite things about what we do is watching students step onto a stage and realize they’re capable of more than they thought.

That moment changes kids.
The confidence.
The pride.

The discipline it takes to prepare for something big.

That’s why performances matter so much to me.

And having someone as iconic as Grammy Award-winning artist and Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T take a moment to encourage our students made this even more special. Thank you 🫶🫶🫶

Summer recital registration is now officially open at and I already know these performances are going to be incredible.
I can’t wait to watch our students shine this summer.

Sometimes I sit back and think about where this is all going.

What started as a music school on Long Island has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

And while I’m incredibly excited watching our very first franchise location in Levittown get ready to open next month… sometimes my mind drifts even further into the future.

Into the possibility.
Into the impact.

Into what it would look like to build spaces like this all across the country for kids, families, music, confidence, creativity, and growth.
Because this has never just been about teaching music lessons.

It’s about building places where kids discover who they are.

And honestly? We’re just getting started.
Levittown is opening soon, and I could not be more proud of the amazing families who are already becoming part of it.

If you’ve been thinking about music lessons for your child, now is the time to get on the list before prime spots fill.

People think we teach music.

We do.

But that’s not the whole story.

We’re teaching discipline.
Focus.
Confidence.
The ability to stand in front of people and perform.

These are life skills.

Music is just the vehicle.

And honestly… there has never been a better time to get your child involved.

The students who start now are the ones building confidence going into the next school year, performances, auditions, and everything ahead.

If your child has been thinking about music lessons, don’t wait until schedules fill up.

Reach out to and get started now.
