Linda spun her wheels for at least 3 years from the time she started thinking about returning to work from her caregiving break.

In January, one of Linda's 2023 goals was to play pickleball. 6 months and 4 lessons later, she's played exactly zero games.

Life intervened. Schedules haven't meshed. And besides, her goals have changed, and she's loving HIIT workouts at the gym.

But she's still determined to get on that court 🏓

🔥The energy of IRL events gives us the connection we crave. When meeting new people, how do you answer: "What do you do?"

It's been a while for some of us. There's a certain inertia that's built up over the past few years.

What's one of the top things women want from the companies they work with?

A culture fit that aligns with their values

But workplace “culture” can be hard to pin down. What does “culture” even mean? And how can you vet for it before taking on a new role or moving to a new department in your company?

At EvolveMe 🦋 we looked to the expertise within our growing community of career reinventors, alumnae of our 8 Reinvention Collective cohorts, to speak to this topic at our RC reunion last week.

And we had a spot-on talk from RC alum Teri Mendelsohn. After an impressive career in sustainability, Teri now supports leaders in that field with coaching and business consulting.

Teri knows what it feels like to work in a company that isn’t aligned with her values. It didn’t bring out the best in her.

That’s one of the reasons she decided to make a change and help others to recognize how to vet roles and companies for the right fit.

We know her advice helped so many women think critically about the values alignment they want in their next chapter.
