Washer Won’t Drain? 😟

Here are some tips that may solve the problem!

1️⃣ Check for Items in the Pump
Small items like coins, pens, or even a sock can get caught in the pump or between the basket and tub, blocking draining
Check the pump and between the basket for any unwanted items and remove them.

2️⃣ Check Drain Hose
Make sure the drain hose has been properly installed. The end of the drain hose should not be higher than 96 inches above the floor.

3️⃣ Ensure Proper Amount of Detergent
Too much detergent causes an overabundance of suds, which will slow the draining process.

🔹 Line up your pattern at eye level.
🔹 Keep a couple rags close by, and keep your hands clean.
🔹 For pre-pasted papers, the easiest method is to roll water on the back with a clean roller.

Are your windows costing your big 💰? If your window panes are damaged, or your old caulking isn’t just holding up, you could be wasting big bucks on the heating bill!

Tips on caulking:
🔹 Use a knife to scrape any old caulk or peeling paint off exterior or interior window edges. Clean off any debris.
🔹 Fill a caulking gun with silicone caulking.
🔹 Apply caulk between the window frame and siding.
🔹 Allow caulk to dry and cure overnight.
🔹 Repeat as needed on more windows.

Going out of town for the holidays is something many of us will be doing in the next few weeks! Make sure your home is ready for “snowbody” to be there by prepping with these simple tips.

1️⃣ Unplug non-essential devices - in case of a power outage this can help protect your important electronics from damage.
2️⃣ Clean out the fridge and pantry before you leave - you don’t want to come home to rotting food or critters!
3️⃣ Turn the heat down, a common setting is to set your home to “cool” on 70 - 74 degrees to save money.
4️⃣ Turn off the water! This helps ensure there are no freezing pipes or bursts to come back to!
