That awful fear of being “pushy” when it comes to selling.

It’s something so many of us feel deeply as women -

*Powerful*
*Heart-led*
*Capable* women.

So why is that - even when we know our work is meaningful - we still hesitate to speak about it with confidence?

Because even though we’re grown women now - building businesses, leading and helping…showing up with so much heart…

We still carry the IMPRINT of the “good girl” on the inside.

The soft.
The agreeable.
The pleasing.

The “Let’s not make anyone uncomfortable” with her prices or offers.

“Good girl” energy focuses on being liked FIRST.
Being safe second and seeking approval always.

So when the kind, capable, heart-led, and really good at what she does woman shows up and dares to say:
“I can help you. And I’m not afraid to share it with you.”

It can feel bold but also quite… REBELLIOUS.
In our bodies, in our nervous system.

And then the thoughts that creep in our minds are:

“I don’t want people to think I’m too much…”
“My prices might scare them away.”
“What if they think I’m just in it for the money?”

But selling with conviction is *not* being pushy, it isn’t bad or greedy or sleazy.

It’s a RETURN...

To your voice.
To your big, heartfelt mission.
To the truth that what you offer matters deeply.

People feel you most *and move with you* when you are ANCHORED in your own truth.

When YOU believe in your offer, people feel it.

That’s what shifts when you sell from self-trust.

That’s what we’re doing inside ✨ The Selling Shift masterclass. ✨

This isn’t about not knowing how to sell.
It’s about the version of you that’s doing the selling.

The one who was taught to overdeliver, overcompensate, to undercharge in case others think it’s “too much.”

Truth… GOOD GIRLS DON’T GET PAID.

The woman who sells from knowing her offer is a gift to the world does.
The woman who sells from conviction does.
The woman who holds her power in the offer before anyone says yes does. Every time.

This is where the shift begins.

This was me at 2 years old - a happy, fiery girl and also…
… being well groomed to be a “good girl.”

A nice girl.

One taught to be polite.
To not question adults.
To wait her turn.
To be easy to like.

And when “good girls” become adults, we become really good at seeking approval - from partners, colleagues, clients, and even strangers.

We look outside of ourselves to measure our worth, power, and value.

We know how to adapt, how to read a room, how to make ourselves likable. 🥷

We find safety in making others comfortable - even when it costs us our own desires.

And when we bring that good girl energy into business…

- We undercharge and discount ourselves (sometimes before being asked).
- We apologize in sales conversations.
- We whisper our offers in case anyone it annoys anyone.
- We hold back from selling because we don’t want to appear “pushy.”
- We feel like we have to prove our worth before people invest.
- We overexplain, hoping people will “see the value.”
- We water down our message so we don’t stand out too much.
 - We hold back our truth, afraid of being judged.

And yet… the women I work with care deeply about what they do. They want to serve, lead, guide, and create impact.

But that unhealed part of them - the one that was taught to stay small at the RISK of “outshining” others, keeps showing up.

Because good girls like us were TRAINED to play nice.
To make sure no one else felt uncomfortable.

And that energy creates *big* resistance in selling.

Over the years, I’ve learned the skill to sell without pushing (in fact, it’s become joyful!) and I’ve also realized that you can have good energy AND make 💸💸💸.

✨ Something is coming soon for the “good girls” in business. Something that will shift how you sell, how you show up and how you take space. ✨

❤️ Valentine’s Day Love Letter… to Me, to You ❤️

I came across an old post today from when I ran The French Effect, teaching kids and adults. In it, I had shared this quote (in my stories):

“S’aimer soi-même est le début d’une histoire d’amour qui durera toute une vie.” – Oscar Wilde

“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.”

At the time, I shared it because it sounded beautiful. And years later, I get it, I feel it.

We love. We give. We build our world around people, believing they’ll always be there. And then, one day - whether we leave, they leave, or life makes the call - it feels like the ground beneath us disappears.

It reminded me of this from Najwa Zebian’s book, Welcome Home:

“The biggest mistake we make is that we build our homes in other people... But what many don’t realize is that when you build your home in other people, you give them the power to make you homeless. When those people walk away, those homes walk away with them, and all of a sudden, we feel empty because everything that we had within us, we put into them.“

I’ve felt that emptiness before… many times.

But HOME was never meant to be built in someone else.

Home is in the way you back yourself.
In the way you trust your own knowing.
In the way you remind yourself - on the hard days, the lonely days, the days you wish things were different - that you are still whole, still HER.

You are not lost.
Not broken.
Not empty.

You’re THE home. Always have been. Always will be. ❤️

The “When I Feel Ready” Illusion

“I’ll do it when I feel ready.”“I’ll start when I feel more confident.” “I’ll move when the fear is gone.”

I used to wait… for years.
I thought fear leaving was my green light.
That my self-confidence would just *land.*
That certainty would make it all easier.

Until I realize that waiting only gave me MORE waiting.

Fear doesn’t leave us.
Confidence doesn’t show up first.
And certainty is just another word for our comfort.

The souls who create what they want don’t wait for fear to disappear. We pack it in our suitcase, bring it with us and move forward anyways.

✨ The Golden Gap is the masterclass for the women who’s done waiting for the perfect moment to go after what they want. ✨

One day, my children will see me beyond the role of ‘parent,’ beyond ‘mom.’

I want them to see a woman...

✨Who chose herself wholeheartedly
✨Who didn’t settle
✨Who embraced every layer of who she is and honoured all the previous versions of who she has been
✨Who lived with courage and authenticity
✨Who loved deeply and without reservation
✨Who dreamed boldly and unapologetically
✨Who rose from life’s challenges
✨Who surrounded herself with inspiring souls that uplifted and expanded her
✨Who stayed open and vulnerable to the beauty of life instead of becoming jaded and bitter

Most of all, I want them to see what it means to live fully by watching me do the same, all while loving them fiercely.

It’s not aligned to dream of endless possibilities for our kids without claiming them for ourselves.

I want to teach them what it truly means *to be alive*.

At the beginning of the year, we set intentions, visions, and goals.

Then, in an instant, the doubts creep in.
What if it doesn’t work out?
What if it’s too big, too much?
What if I fail?

We often find ourselves in a vulnerable place, especially when we’ve declared our dreams out loud.

What will *they* think?
What if others see me fail, judge me, and share their negative opinion?
But the hardest thought of all...
What if I can’t bear to see MYSELF fail?

Holding your dreams without fear feels impossible.
Being okay with uncertainty - with no proof and no timeline - is deeply uncomfortable for our bodies and nervous system.

The human mind craves PREDICTIONS.
It loves CONTROL.

However, when you anchor yourself so deeply in trust and in the truth of who you are, you can hold space for ALL of it...

✨ The waiting - without proof or guarantees
✨ The discomfort feels in the gap
✨ The doubters and their opinions (theirs and your ego)

Part 2 of The Golden Gap Masterclass is about stepping into and holding the powerful energy of “in-between dream becoming.”

It’s about standing rooted in your truth of *no matter what*.
It’s about trusting yourself *without* needing guarantees.

Because here - in this space - is where everything you’ve ever wanted (and things you didn’t even know you wanted) begins to unfold.

I continue to see it in my own life over and over and over again.

And sadly, this is where people check out way too soon.
