What is the best piece of advice you have received or lesson you have learned from a leader in your professional or personal life?

Sometimes we learn things from great leaders and sometimes we learn things from some not-so great leaders. All of our experiences shape us and mold us into the leaders we want to be.

The best piece of advice I have received is - “if not know, when?”, which is something I use throughout my career. Whether it is sending an email, starting a new project, or finding ways to work with others - if I do not take opportunities when they arise, they make not come back around.

Over the past weekend, my social media feeds saw an influx of photos, and of course, this led me to reflect on my own summers at . I attended Lake Bryn Mawr Camp in Honesdale, PA for ten summers (seven as a camper and three as a member), a beautiful place that I can honestly say, as cheesy as it sounds, helped shape me into the woman I am today.
