1. Jeanne Martin Cissé (6 April 1926 – 21 February 2017) the first woman to serve as President of the United Nations Security Council. She served in the government of Guinea as Minister of Social Affairs from 1976 until the 1984 military coup.
2. Dr. Saran Daraba Kaba
Ambassador Dr. Saran Daraba Kaba was appointed as the first female Secretary-General of the Mano River Union in September 2011 and her term ended in 2017.
3. Miriam Makeba – With a robust music, arts and culture scene; Guinea’s most famous inhabitants was Miriam Makeba, South African singer and civil rights activist known as “Mama Africa.”
