WE ARE STILL ON THE THRESHOLD OF
AFRICAN ADVANCEMENT
Africa is still on slow motion because there are fundamental defaults still being overlooked by majority Africans. Unfortunately, these defaults are beqeathed as legacies to succeeding generations. I see this as a dangerous infiltration and must be nibbed in the bud.
To be specific, one of the glaring evidences of this invasive default is the false narrative that Africa cannot be economically independent, the reason for foolish display of cluelessness and blind complacency by majority of African leaders/ representarives, who has over the years traded Africa's rights for Western parochial gains and slavish Western coverages/immunity.
By now, African scholars, intellectuals,chroniclers, educationists and likes ought to have taken centre-stage in ambitious re-engineering of the process of global narratives, to create necessary ,yet better understanding of what is "cultural" and what is "conditional" in Africa. This means that they duel on authenticity and authentication of African culture as foundation for every narratives; in media, books/publications, social space, institutions etc.
Many a times, our general perspectives on African cultural issues, value systems, science, identity and civilization betrays our abandonement of the sense of 'Africaness' or authenticity. This is why many 'unthinking' Africans are errorneously led through Western parameters to classifying most African value system as an indicator of 'poverty'. This is the unfortunate consequence of the absence of African contents in schools, absence of local and public libraries in African communities; the general apathy to documentation, even by African elites and intellectuals; poor reading culture by Africans, Westernization of African contents and many more.
As it is, currently, a great majority of young Africans are lost in the deep ocean of ignorance. They know virtually nothing about African history, nothing about African potentialities and prospects of its human and natural resources. On the other side of the divide, a great majority of African-Americans are so obsessed with their 'Americaness' so much that there is no iota of brotherly ties or sense of kindred between them and the continental brothers in Africa. Even in the face of gross abuse and rejection by the American system, they feel content with the statusquo. Why, because, the disconnect is self-inflicted, irrational and unecessarry in the face of growing realities that White Supremacy will never be eliminated or atleast be held at its vicious bay, without BLACK UNITY and or the United Africa (Diasporan and continental)
The malaise is becoming contagious and almost irresistible. To this end, Manson Publishing Company is determined to lend her creative models as part of global efforts to changing the anti-progressive narratives, through her broad-range models, using the INTELLECTUAL CONTENTS INCUBATION AND EXPORT INITIATIVE- ICIEI. This initiative seeks to achieve two main goals with multiple dividends as follows;
1) To profile African scholars in a dignified way, internationally by aiding them access growth opportunities in their chosen fields.
2) To give back BLACK communities through literacy advocacy and interventional packages that will directly impact our continental Africans, back home and ,largely the African-American schools and communities in the USA.
It is a long and short-term goal which must be sustained through our collective goodwill, financial, moral and technical support, collaborations, partnerships, volunteering, etc.
