USDA NRCS Offers Anaerobic Digestion Funding for New York Farmers

"Funds from NRCS will be available to those farms ready to build a digester within the next year. It is anticipated that funding for anaerobic digestion will be offered again in coming years. USDA has made digester installation a national priority and hopes to install one per week for the next three years. NRCS funding can be combined with Rural Development's Rural Energy for America Program and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority programs as a package of incentives".

BiogasMaxx has collaborated with the blog Ganadería México writing an article titled "Livestock wastes and biogas: a problem and a profitable solution". It is written in Spanish, and it analyses the problems associated to these wastes and the solution that biogas offers for tem. With a good project design it could be a very profitable business. The IWA ADM1 is a complex mathematical model (Ordinary Differential Equations) which simulates the biochemical AD process. It considers, among others, kinetics aspects, physic-chemical equilibriums, biogas production, biomass grow rates, into a dynamic simulation with an flow model of perfect mixing in a continuous stirred tank reactor. This text is basic to understand deeply a biogas plant. ADM1 is the core of all the software that BiogasMaxx has developed to desing the reactors for our costumers.
