marriage is one of the places where love + money get easily tangled up in a myriad of ways.

who earns.
who stops earning.
who pays for what.
who has access.
who has the financial freedom to leave.

a lot of that can stay invisible for years.

until the marriage ends.

and then - the private financial reality of a marriage can become public knowledge. and, increasingly, public content.

women are taking what they learned through divorce - about money, marriage, themselves

+ some are building businesses around those stories.

it’s an interesting tension - the same institution that can make women financially dependent can also leave them with a story, an audience, and a new way to make money.
